The Trail To Mount Everest, Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal
Close, but still kilometers in the distance, Mount Everest (Sagarmatha to local Nepalis)keeps watch over trekkers stopping to rest at a Buddhist Stupa along one of many trails through the Himalayas. Warm weather greets Fall trekkers but snows can arrive at any time, making trekking not just a walk in the park. At the elevation of this stupa, about 12,800', travelers welcome any chance to sit, enjoy the view and catch their breath.

I've seen this geyser maybe four times in my life and each time, as campy as it may seem with the huge crowds that gather along the boardwalk, I love watching this classic show of geothermal energy.
